Our Purpose
Our goal is to remove the barriers to getting great scripts made by giving filmmakers access to a shared audience and providing them the business tools to make their projects fundable.
Over the years, we’ve read a lot of great scripts that will probably never get made because the business of indie filmmaking is no longer sustainable for most filmmakers. Currently, one of the “best” paths to getting your projects funded and seen requires spending years developing a personal audience and learning the business side of film. But this path is not feasible or practical for most filmmakers. It shouldn’t take years just to get to the starting point. Filmmakers should not be forced to become businesspeople and content creators just to give their stories a chance.
To accomplish this, we need your help.
Your Voice Matters
One of the biggest questions funders ask when looking at indie projects is “who is the audience?” That can be a difficult and costly question for indie filmmakers to answer.
That’s why we created Probably Real Trailers. It’s a central community for audience members like you to give filmmakers feedback on their work as it develops and help them understand who their project’s core audience is.
Participating is always 100% free for you and filmmakers pay nothing up front to share their projects. They only pay a small fee once their projects get funding.
By watching projects and sharing thoughtful feedback, you’ll get a front-row seat to seeing projects develop and be a key part of the process in deciding which projects get made.
